About your Appointment

We are now open for face to face appointments. These will take place following the Covid-19 guidelines on social distancing, PPE and hygiene.

Currently I am continuing to have a virtual first contact, prior to any face to face appointment. This can be a telephone or a video consultation. Following this there will be a risk assessment and screening for Covid-19.

If after our initial conversation we decide that a face to face appointment is not appropriate at this stage, then video consultations are still available.

What is different about organising a virtual appointment?

I use TM3, my online documentation package. A link is sent via email and you click on the link to access the video call, no apps are required. If you prefer we can use Zoom.

Other than being unable to perform an internal examination, the rest of the initial assessment is the same.

What will happen at your consultation?

Debbie will begin by asking specific questions to try to establish what is causing your symptoms. If the symptom is pain, Debbie will work out where and why, and what can be done about it. As the client you will always be asked what your goal is so that Debbie can set a specific treatment and exercise plan for you.

Some clients can be nervous about an internal examination. Internal examinations are a common part of assessing to see if your muscles are working adequately, but be reassured this isn’t always a requisite for assessment/treatment. Debbie will talk through the whole examination before it happens if she feels it is required.

About your Appointment

I would highly recommend Debbie, very personable and highly knowledgeable physio. She was very honest but made you feel positive about your progress. Debbie clearly explained exercises and offered information over and beyond what I expected which made the world of difference to my experience. I felt so comfortable and confident I was on the right road to recovery. The best £80 I’ve ever invested in myself. ALV Nov 2019
